A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a typo. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this problem can be fixed by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy if you have a cloud hosting plan with our company. You can activate this option through our advanced, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared hosting account. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve created enumerated alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly show you if a specific mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you want. If there is enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you’ll get a warning text message from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all email mailbox easily even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
